After completing her Ph.D., Dr. Groen continued her work as an assistant research psychologist in the Department of Psychology and the Neuropsychiatric Institute (NPI) at UCLA, co-authoring papers in peer reviewed journals and treating children with ASD and other developmental disorders.

Dr. Groen has taught numerous courses in psychology, education, and special education at the university level. She has extensive experience in parent education and training, beginning at NPI where she developed teaching health protocols for young parents with disabilities as part of a state funded, multi-year grant.

Dr. Groen continues this work today, providing parent education as a lead consultant to a federally funded parent training program and as the Executive Director for Grenada Autism and Developmental Disorders Support Services (GADDSS).  Her current research and clinical interests are improving access and equity in evidence-based ABA services for individuals and families in under-resourced and underserved areas, culturally responsive ABA practices, and developing evidence-based strategies for families dealing with separation and divorce.  Dr. Groen provides training, treatment oversight, expert testimony, and consultation around the world.
