Parent Education and Training
The goal of parent training is to help parents reframe how they interpret their child’s behavior and learn strategies for everyday parenting scenarios as well as for more challenging behaviors. ABA parent education and training is research-based; there is a large body of scientific evidence showing that it works for many issues parents face, including tantrums, sleep issues, excessive tech time and more. Research also shows that parent education and training using an ABA approach is highly effective for behavior issues exhibited in children with ASD and other developmental disorders. Our model is effective, efficient, and uses empirically supported ABA strategies and techniques within a caring and compassionate framework.
Our parent training program is collaborative, practical, and time-limited, with the parent or caregiver learning evidence-based strategies to improve behaviors that they wish to target. Sessions are guided with activity sheets, concepts that are easy to understand and implement, and video vignettes to promote problem solving discussions and to relate back to your child's behavior. Homework and data are part of the sessions in order for parents to practice, ensure success and progress, and to transfer strategies to real-life settings.
